Snow Chains Training '25

One of CERT’s functions is to help our neighbors be prepared for anything from winter weather driving to major disasters, such as fires and earthquakes. On December 6th, CERT conducted a training session for anyone who wanted to learn how to put chains, cables or snow socks on their tires and the event was a big success, with 23 people getting one-on-one training with their car and whatever form of chains, etc. they have.  Each left far more confident that they could now do this themselves.

A VERY BIG “THANK YOU!” to Ace Hardware and its Manager, Robert Welty, and employee Steven, for being great PMC community supporters and stepping up to help lead the training.  Also, a big thank you to local resident, Niko Christiansen, for volunteering to be a trainer at the event.  And thanks to all CERT members who participated in helping our local residents learn this important skill for driving on our snowy mountain roads.
